What to Check Before Buying

1. Battery health: Ask the seller for a screenshot of Settings → Battery → Battery Health. Below 80% means you'll need a replacement ($89 at Apple, $50 third-party).
2. Carrier lock: Verify it's unlocked or on your carrier. Settings → General → About → "Carrier Lock" should say "No SIM restrictions."
3. iCloud lock: If Find My iPhone is still on, the seller hasn't signed out. DO NOT buy an iCloud-locked phone — you won't be able to use it.
4. Physical damage: Look at all photos carefully. Check the screen (cracks, dead pixels), corners (dents from drops), and camera lens (scratches).
5. Storage size: 64GB is cramped in 2026. Go for 128GB minimum, 256GB if you take lots of photos.
